relations with high-ranking members
of the Catholic Church and
shamelessly participates in racial
insults directed towards his own
people. His top priority is to marry off
his daughter, Mara Clara, to a
wealthy man from a powerful family.

1. Crisostomo Ibarra

Ibarra is a Filipino-Spanish descendant

of Don Rafael Ibarra, a rich Spaniard. He
was born and raised in the Philippines,
but spent seven years studying in
Europe during his adolescence
2. Maria Clara
is a woman who is passionate about her
work. She is believed to be Capitan
Tiago's daughter and Father Dámaso's
goddaughter. She is Father Dámaso's
biological daughter, born of the old
priest's scandalous relationship with
Capitan Tiago's wife.
Assessment:

Draw your idea/knowledge based on the plot of Noli me Tangere by Dr. Jose P. Rizal and write
an explain drawing.

As seen in the drawing of a man bending over, a church, and a priest below. The first illustration
of a bowed person portrays its lowliness as submissive or worshiping whoever is in the second
and third pictures. It alludes to the novel's characters bestowing high honors on the rulers of the
time, who were the church and priests. It should be noticed that the pictures after this one are
also larger than the previous one. The church and Spanish priests dominated at the time, and
even though you did the right thing but interfered with their views, you could be executed or
imprisoned. Just like what happened to the novel's primitive character, Crisostomo Ibarra's
father. The gentleman was arrested after unintentionally killed the crew while protecting the
kid. He was apprehended and killed, and due to the presiding Father's influence, he was not
even given a proper burial.
