1-Linear regression is used to predict the continuous dependent variable using a given

set of independent variables.
Logistic regression is used to describe data and to explain the relationship between one
dependent binary variable and one or more nominal, ordinal, interval or ratio-level
independent variables. The Differences between Linear Regression and Logistic
Regression. Linear Regression is used to handle regression problems whereas Logistic
regression is used to handle the classification problems. Linear regression provides a
continuous output but Logistic regression provides discreet output.

2-R-squared measures the proportion of the variation in your dependent variable (Y)
explained by your independent variables (X) for a linear regression model. Adjusted R-
squared adjusts the statistic based on the number of independent variables in the model.
The difference between R-square and Adjusted R-square equation is degree of freedom.
Adjusted R-squared value can be calculated based on value of r-squared, number of
independent variables, total sample size.
