An Excerpt: The Enigmatic Brain
What are you curious about? A lot of things I reckon, but what is one thing that truly fascinates you?
Something that wakes you up in the middle of the night, or makes you wanna stay up just to get some answers, or
even something you dream about? I mean lots of things definitely fascinate me; like the plethora of secrets that
the universe conceals from us. I mean, don’t tell anyone but now that I’m thinking about it the only reason I’m not
covering this particular topic is because of the obvious reason that I don’t know enough about that enough to
produce a good amount of ‘excerpts’ that make sense. The internet exists, yeah? I’m not an expert on those kinds
of things but I’ll try my best if ever I decide on it. Going back to the certain topic at hand though, it is ironic that
something that resides deep between us is also something we have a limited amount of knowledge on. Maybe I’m
just oblivious when it comes to discovering the endevoured mysteries of the brain but nonetheless, this is why we
seek the help of psychiatrists correct? To help us with something that we don’t know enough about. Our brain
does work in different ways, but it has a fairly simple enough job (at least the major things, I guess) that the
majority of us can comprehend. Number one is to be the command center, by definition of our respective bodies.
The second one though might bejust a little more complicated. In the sense that it makes us wanna contradict the
first rule. It is simply the job of protecting the body even if it means losing it and filling up our brains with
unerasable thoughts that can haunt us until the end of our term here on earth.
The mind is a strange thing. Those who are curious enough will try and pursue a career just to satiate their
knowledge regarding its closeted information. The ones who are just content on being a bystander and watch as
the acclaimed professionals unravel every possible thing will do what they intend to. Who knows, though? Maybe
a bystander will be the one to uncover the most insignificant detail. We never know with the enigmatic brain. An
irony that resides within us, yet we know close to nothing about. “What we know is a drop, what we don’t know is
an ocean.”
