Soren "Ren" Pierce

Backstory: Soren was sent to an orphanage when he was born. He was raised there,
barely treated as a person as the people who are running the orphanage didn't
particularly care for the children. When he turned five, he was sent from one
foster home to another as his attitude was disliked by most of his foster parents.
Until he met a loving family who welcomed him in their home and took genuine care
for him. For the first time, he felt unconditionally loved, that was until a man
entered their home when Ren was eleven- claiming that he was their 'son'. For
reasons unknown to Soren, the family seemed to agree and started treating the new
comer "Rye" as if was their child.

Ren's adopted parents started deteriorating and they become abusive, but Rye's
abuse of Ren is far more unspeakable than the others did. Ren was manipulated and
gaslit, and when he turned thirteen, a man came to the house and and seemed to hunt
down Rye along with his parents. Ren managed to hide in the closet as the man
killed both his parents, and watched as Rye escaped.

After the carnage, Ren stepped out and a blade was pointed at him- but a small
exchange seemed to stop the hunter from killing him.

Soren: ... mom and dad.. they're not them anymore, are they?
Man: ...
Soren: .. and it's Rye's fault?

The man turned and left, but Soren followed him aimlessly, until the man
reluctantly adopted and trained him.
