2. Identify possible communication blocks in the following situations:

a. a written letter of complaint

A physical barrier could be the possible communication block. Poor stationery, an

unappealing letter layout, or the approach it was written.

b. interaction between a nurse and a patient

Psychological, language, and cultural limitations are all possible communication

barriers.
The ability of patients to communicate effectively may be hampered by their condition,
medicine, discomfort, and/or worry. The cultural values and beliefs of nurses and
patients can also contribute to misinterpretation or reinterpretation of important
messages.

c. songs with figurative language

A language and cultural barrier could be a communication barrier. People perceive

things differently, especially when it comes to interpreting figurative languages. The
message's recipient may misinterpret the song's message.
