To all my fellow graduates, friends, teachers, faculty and staff and all the Salesians good day.

It was unexpected to become the Model Bosconian and to talk here in front of you. I am just a simple
man with a simple dream to become an engineer but due to lack of financial support, I pursue to find
some scholarship for my study, but I fail to take the scholarship examination because I am not able to
pass my requirements.

I was so sad that time and planning to work after graduating senior high to save money for my plan to
study engineering and to travel to Cebu.

One day my best friend Edwin told me that there’s a way to make my dreams come true. He told me
about Don Bosco Training Center- Mati. He said that there is a possibility to have a job in Cebu after the
training. I grab the opportunity to make my dreams come true. So, I study here in Don Bosco with my
course Mechanical Technology. I stay here as regular boarder for almost a year.

My training time is not easy, I experience everything sadness, loneliness, hopeless, happiness, and most
especially joyfulness. I experienced that only here in Don Bosco during my training. I can’t forget that 2
weeks no consumables, But I survived because of my farm crafts and the help of my board mates who
cares.

During my training is not easy, even if you did your best but there's always a time that you can think to
surrender. But nothing else I can rely on if I have a problem. Its god who gives me strength to fight and
never surrender. It is definitely true that you can feel the presence of God when you are in problem.
That’s why I'm always thankful that he never left me in my battle

And I want to thank all the people who are with me and continue to support me especially to my
brothers and sisters. To all my board mates in Dominic Savio boarding home especially my boarder
Guardian sir Karl Joshua Rasul Ticon. Sir thank you for making our boarding home peaceful.I also thank
my Trainor, Mr. Jimmy Talicug, all the faculty and staff and all the Salesians in Don Bosco training center
Mati

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity and this award.

One message I will leave to all of you, failure is normal everyone fails. But the most important is that we
try our best. Try and try but never surrender.
