Cobb500 Management Points (Part 2):

 Preheating:
Summer for 24 hours
Winter for 48 hours
35-360C (up to the first 48-72 hours of chick placement)
Humidity: 60%

 Reduce water pressure of nipple to make chicks easier to find water


Water temperature= 20-250C

 Brooder temperature:
Measure 8cm above litter
Remove brooder until chicks are fully feathered

 Measure cloaca temperature daily (random sampling)


Optimum cloaca temperature= 40-410C

 Beak treatment:
Beak trimming on days 7-10 for layers

For stress condition: Vit C 100-200mg/kg

Upto Day 7: 18 hour light
Intermittent light hours: For every 4h light: 2 hour dark

 Grit feeding:
Once a week 1g/bird

26-290C, 70% humidity
