paintings.

French government put his
last water-lily series in a
gallery in Paris for visitors
to see forever.

Amy Sherald in 2018.
The size is 72 inches
× 60 inches. It is
made with oil paint on
canvas. Sherald is the first
African-American woman to paint
an official First Lady portrait.
The dress is inspired by the
Quilters of Gees Bend.

3. Spoonbridge and Cherry is a
fountain by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje
van Bruggen.
Spoonbridge and Cherry measures 30
by 52 by 13 feet. It is over a small
pond in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The
sculpture is built from steel and
aluminum.
The cherry portion of the piece
weighs 1,200 pounds and the spoon
weighs 5,800 pounds.
Water comes out of the tip and the
base of the cherry's stem.
