A randomized controlled clinical study conducted by Hermanjot Kaur and Roopjot


Kochar in July 2017 entitled Stress and diabetes mellitus a clinical trial stated that patients with
diabetes are at least twice as likely to suffer from depression, anxiety and stress than the general
population for the purpose of this study. namely to addres gender- related prevalence of diabetis
among selected patients of stress occurrence among diabetes patients and also to assess the
cause of their stress.

This study was conducted on 100 people who were clinically diagnosed diabetes
patients. The method used is a questionnaire method, Chi square test and correlation
coefficient. From the study, diabetes was more common among women aged 50-60 years.

The result of this study show that 74.00 % of diabetic live in stressful conditions and
the majority of diabetic patients, namely 50.00 % of patients experience stress related to their
family problems, and diabetes patients, both men and women, live under stress, The percentage
of women exceeding the percentage of men. The prevalence of stress was found between 84.75
% of women and 58.54 % of men.
