MODULE 2: IMPROVING INTERVIEW SKILLS

In these modern times looking for a job is like finding a needle in a sand. But there are a lot of
ways on how we’re going to stand out among other applicants and be hired by the company.  In this
module it says that Effective communication plays an important role to an individual’s development and
wellbeing. It is also a necessary skill needed to succeed in one’s personal and professional life.  Applying
for a job is like selling yourself, you have to make sure that you are able to present yourself in a manner
that the interviewer will like you and what can you do to help the company grow.

Job interview is the most crucial and important part of our application, since this will also
determine if the company will hire you or not. During the job interview it is your opportunity to
highlight   your strengths and what you can do to help the company. It is also your opportunity to show
them that you’re the best candidate for the position.  Moreover, it is very important for us to learn the
basic things about soft skills or the way we communicate with other people. Job interview is not only
presenting how capable you are in the position but also on how you’re going to present it to them, in a
way that you will not sound smug, conceited and all knowing. Remember this, companies always look
for someone who’s willing to learn and capable of adapting to their environment. This means that it is
very important to maximize your interview and say only what is necessary.
