-I find it easy to think some of activities in this different structures that I am familiar with and it’s
because some of this group have something in common.
2. Were the activities diverse in each structure?Why?Why not?
-yes it’s the belief and values of each structures that mention above, but they have something in
common.
3. Can you describe your community based on the answers you have provided above?
- my community has a good trend of laws and political regulations so every social is having cooperation
and becoming creative in different fields. All of this is learned within the school with adequate education
shaping each other.

1.As social science student, do you think it is necessary to study community? Why do you think so?
-Its very important to know for us to be aware of what is happening in our community. We need to
know the progress and the things that needed to improved and how to solve a problem within this
community.
2. Can the dynamics in the community affect the lives of the people? If yes, why? How? If not, why not?
- Yes , Dynamics always express what a community can bring to the life of its members. We cannot
ignore complexities, because dynamics influence people's thought, norms, traditions, and society every
day in the world.

1.Can the community facilitate action for their own community? What is your idea about this?
- Our belief in the equality of all people, for instance, or in the importance of individuals' efforts to
improve their communities. Its their role to get others to take responsibility and to take lead on different
tasks.

2. Is it possible that we consider individuals in the community as social capital? Why? Why not?
-Yes, that can be considered as a social community because each individual has trust and cooperation in
the community and it allows people to work together and to access benefits from social relationships.

Sorsogon under State of Calamity


The provincial government has placed Sorsogon under a state of calamity even if it has no confirmed
coronavirus case, as a proactive measure against the spread of the new virus. Mavic Conde Published

ALBAY, Philippines – The provincial government has placed Sorsogon under a state of calamity even if it
has no recorded case of the novel coronavirus disease COVID- 19 as of Monday, March 16.
The provincial government passed Resolution no. 156 on March 16,
declaring the province in a state of calamity, as a proactive response to the localized COVID-19
transmission in the country. This declaration acknowledged the Sorsoganons' right to health and safety
and to instill health consciousness among them, especially the most vulnerable. According to the
resolution, "at least 15% of the forecasted affected population based on science-based projection are in
need of emergency assistance. Hence, more than 15 % of the total population is at risk province-wide."
Those most at risk are seniors, and people with diabetes, kidney problems, heart diseases, and other
pre-existing conditions.
UNDERSTAND – Sorsogon province declared Tuesday a state of calamity due to coronavirus disease
2019 (COVID-19). Sorsogon has no confirmed case of coronavirus, no person under investigation.
Following the declaration, Sorsogon City also declared a state of calamity.
ENGAGE — The Sangguniang Panlalawigan here, by virtue of a Resolution, has already placed twelve
towns as well as Sorsogon City under the state of calamity at the heels of the torrential rains resulting to
flooding and landslides in these areas.
In a report of the Provincial Disaster Coordinating Council, damages cost P125.9 million to
infrastructures, including national and provincial roads, bridges, among others.
EMPOWER — They have been taken cared of and monitored, The mayors in the province were
instructed to provide vitamins to vulnerable sectors.

- Yes. But the effects are different from the influence of either. Family social relationships influence a
person's motivation for social conformity or deviance, as well. Family can be a source of stress to which
a person might respond with substance use, or a source of resilience and protective factors that reduce
the probability of engaging in substance misuse. And for individual, they’re doing things that is right do
Such as communicating with the people around them and helps to clean the baranggay which is
being a cooperative person in the baranggay.

2. Is it necessary to study community action along the field in socia lscience? Why?
Studying Community action along with the field of social science is necessary as it is defined as any
activity that fosters greater community awareness, engagement, and empowerment in the design and
delivery of local services.Community formation is a process that requires both resident attention and
community activity. Community action is a term that refers to the process of establishing social ties to
advance common community goals and preserve local life.
