Proposed Course Syllabus

OBJECTIVES:

 To maintain and practise already achieved upper-intermediate speaking,


listening and writing skills.
 To review key grammar points.
 To improve awareness of style and register in written correspondence.
 To expand overall vocabulary.

MATERIALS:
 English Grammar in Use (Murphy) for grammar review.
 Words at Work (Units 2 and 3) “The right person for the job” / “Pay and
Perks” for job-related vocabulary
 Writing Skills for style and register practice in correspondence
 Negotiating: for job-related listening, speaking and writing.
 Business Class (Unit 8 Headhunters) for all job-related objectives.
 First Certificate Gold: especially listening tasks for general improvement.
 Good In Bed (novel): extra-curricular/recreational reading to improve
general vocabulary and maintain level.
