It gives me immense pleasure to write this Letter of Recommendation for my student Ms.

Pratigya
Parihar, who was a student of Master of Science in Department of Statistics, Government Motilal
Vigyan Maha Vidyalaya Bhopal from 2017-19. I strongly believe that Pratigya has the necessary
intellect and impetus needed to excel for a doctorate position at Massey University, New Zealand
and I am glad to recommend her to your institute.

I had taught her “Operations Research”, “Design of Experiments” and “Statistical Quality Control”
during her Postgraduate course. She worked on her M.Sc. project titled “Data analysis for condition
of agriculture in India Using ISS (Indian Statistical Survey)” under my supervision. Her understanding
of fundamental principles in the subjectsand skills in experimental work were impressive. She is a
very good learner and has the ability to grasp new concepts quickly. Pratigya is strongly motivated
and possesses the intellectual ability to achieve her targets. As a result of her hard work, dedication,
and level of understanding, she secured good grades in the subjects along with highest position
throughout the college.

Pratigya had a very good influence on her peers, and her never-ending desire to learn has rubbed off
on them too. She is very soft-spoken and polite by nature and is very helpful. Her peers have a very
high opinion of her and what is remarkable is her humility and willingness to guide others despite
her accomplishments. As her faculty, I observed her at close quarters. She is a self-disciplined and
dedicated person. She hardly gave me a chance to follow up on her work because she regularly
apprised me about her project. It is also worth mentioning the level of confidence and diligence that
Pratigya demonstrated in my classes was extraordinary. Through class discussions, I came to
understand that she not only has good grasp over the concepts covered in her coursework but also
possesses a keen interest in topics outside the prescribed syllabus. I wish her all the success in her
life.

Sincerely,

Dr. Sushma Jain

(Head of Department)
