Introduction
Big basket which is registered as supermarket grocery supplies Pvt. Ltd, Is an Indian online
grocery delivery service provider. Headquartered in Bangalore It was founded by V. S.
Sudhakar, Hari Menon, Vipul Parekh, Abhinay Choudhari and V. S. Ramesh in 2011 and
operates in more than 30 cities in India. With the recent deal, Tata Group became the owner of
Big Basket by acquiring a majority stake of 64% in the company.

Noida, Mysore, Coimbatore, Vijayawada-Guntur, Kolkata, Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar, Lucknow-
Kanpur, Gurgaon, Vadodara, Visakhapatnam, Surat, Nagpur, Patna, Indore and Chandigarh

In February 2022, Big basket has announced that it has expanded its Pan-India coverage over 1
year and now they have included tier 1 and tier 2 cities for their operations, which include:
Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Jamshedpur, Anand, Rajkot, Ambala, Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu,
Raipur, Bhilai, Allahabad, Kota, Kakinada, Nashik, Kolhapur, Rajahmundry, Amravati and
Tumkur.

The company has recorded over 7 million customers per month and demand has considerably
gone up in the post covid scenarios.
