Accounting – Roles and Responsibilities

There are various services that Allstate India support in Accounting Services. Some of them are as
below:

Tasks

• Various accounting operations activities that include detailed investigation and research on
Allstate and third party applications, websites and systems.

• Updating static information such as addresses.

• Validating requests that come through to the team of a financial nature such as re-issue of
checks, applying credit balances, determining course of action for balances lying against policies
etc.

• Posting journals to SAP and posting entries to other Allstate systems

• Balancing and reconciliations of ledgers and research on checks that have been returned by the
bank

• Balancing & reconciling of monies on policies for Allstate financial

• Processing payments to policies

• Creating, changing, reconciling and retiring Asset records for furniture & equipment

Skills

• US banking system basics – checking accounts, bill paying methods , checks, wires

• Basics of insurance terms and insurance principles

• Strong F&A background. Certifications will be an added advantage

Application skills

Good keyboard skills and proficient in using MS Office tools such as Power point, Word, Excel and
Outlook Familiarity with SAP, mainframe systems and other BFSI applications

Education Any UG/Graduate

Shifts

Candidates should be open to all shifts and rotations, though rotations would be minimal. Most
processes work Mon to Fri. Some work Saturday. Most shifts are evening 3 pm/ 5pm/6.30pm. Some
could be morning 7 am or general shifts.
