The record of Joseph's estate is in the Hancock County, OH, records. The estate was left to his
wife and family. Ages of the children are given as 19, 17, 14, 11, and 9 in the 26 November 1864
court record. Russell, who is in the 1860 census, is probably Aaron R. as he is the correct age
for Aaron. James is listed as James W. Later in life he was called William.

Joseph died before his father's estate was settled. Apparently Joseph had purchased some
of his father's land before his father's death, but the deed was never registered, and became part
of his father's estate. In the final settlement of the estate of his father, Joseph's siblings
signed a quit claim deed to the land which Joseph had claimed. This legal transfer was done on
behalf of Joseph's survivors. He was a farmer. He appeared on the census of 1850 at
Washington Twp., Hancock Co., OH.

Margaret CLARK was born on 24 Mar 1824 at Ohio. She died on 2 Jun 1901. She was
