4. Union Home Minister Amit Shah launches web portal for industrial investments in Jammu and
Kashmir
The portal was launched under the 'New Central sector scheme for industrial development of Jammu
and Kashmir’ which is applicable for any eligible manufacturing entity or eligible service sector
enterprise which is registered as a business enterprise under the GST. The portal is for the
registration of units for the industrial development of Jammu & Kashmir.
2. Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurates Doppler Weather Radar & Indigenous GPS based Pilot Sonde at
IMD, Jammu
Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurated the latest upgraded state-of-the-art Doppler Weather
Radar (DW) & Indigenous GPS based Pilot Sonde at Indian Meteorological Office in Jammu. India's
lavender led Purple Revolution and first Cannabis Medicinal Plant was launched by IIIM Jammu, the
first ever National Institute of High Altitude.

In Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha felicitated Young achievers with the
“Kashmir Young Leadership Award’ during the Kashmir Leadership Summit in Srinagar. Young
achievers received the award for their outstanding work in different fields and lauded their
contribution for bringing positive changes in society.
4, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurates ‘Saath’ initiative for women
associated with SHGs
J-K LG Sinha launched Rural Enterprises Acceleration Programme titled ‘Saath’ for Self Help Group
(SHG) women, here are 48000 SHGs in Jammu and Kashmir. There are 48000 SHGs in Jammu and
Kashmir. Four lakh women are connected to these SHGs. This Saath initiative will stress on
mentoring and market linkages of products created by these women.

5. J-K LG launches digital banking mission ‘One Gram Panchayat-One DIGIPay Sakhi"
In order to promote door-to-door digital banking and financial services in remote areas of Jammu
and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha launched ‘One Gram Panchayat-One DIGI-Pay Sakhi*
in the union territory. The mission was launched at Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship
Development Institute, Pampore. Initially, the DIGI-Pay facility will be provided in 2,000 remote
villages of the UT.
4. Nitin Gadkari Lays Foundation Stone For 4 NH Projects Worth Rs 3612 Crore In J&K
Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone
for four national highway (NH) projects of 121 km worth '. 3612 crores in Jammu & Kashmir (JK).
‘The Baramula-Gulmarg NH-701A & the Vailoo to Donipawa (P-V1) NH-244 are two of the initiatives
that were inaugurated by Gadkari during his visit to the union territory. Prestigious Srinagar Ring
Road project would be completed by end of 2023.
7. Press Council of India to Probe Harassment of Journalists in Kashmir
A three-member Press Council of India (PCI) ‘fact-finding committee" is supposed to investigate the
allegations of harassment of journalists in Kashmir, days after People's Democratic Party (PDP)
president and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Muti allegations.
8. 10 days lockdown in Srinagar dues to surging coronavirus cases
All essential services, including incidental services and activities, shall be allowed to continue.
Standalone grocery/vegetable/meat/milk shops may also remain open and functional to ensure the
provisioning of essential supplies from 7 am to 11 am only. There will be no hindrance to the smooth
movement of goods and essential supplies.
9. A portal to help Kashmiri migrants lodge property plaints
‘The government of Jammu & Kashmir has activated an online service to enable Kashmiri migrants,
largely Hindus who were forced to leave the Valley in the 90s in view of security concerns, to lodge
grievances related to their properties in Kashmir.
