Lesson stages
Activity 1 Warm up
Aim: to introduce students in the atmosphere of the English class.
Procedure: Teacher checks the absentees.The students on duty names absentees.

Activity 2: Check up the homework.
Procedure: Teacher asks the students to open their notebooks and show the homework.
The teacher checks the homework and he/she marks it. The students show their
notebooks.

Activity 3
Aim: identify the general ideas of the audio text
Procedure: students listen to the audio text on the radio and identify the main ideas

Activity 4

Aim: Checking the comprehension of the audio text

Procedure: Students must fill in the blanks of the sentences. Ex Olivia's brother Matt is in
Kenya.

Activity 5

Aim: Acquiring unknown words

Procedure:Students listen to each word and attribute it to the image that belongs to it.
Estimated time: 5'

Activity 6

Aim: composing sentences based on images.

Procedure: Students must form teams of two and make sentences according to the
following requirement. Work with a partner. How can we reuse the containers in
Exercise 4? Write sentences. Ex: We can use glasses jars to groe plants.

Activity 7

Aim: Comparison of ideas

Procedure: Students form small groups and compare the sentences formed in exercise 5.

Activity 8: Giving the homework.

Aim: to enrich vocabulary and to use it in sentences of their own
Procedure: Students must learn the unknown words from the text and make sentences
with each one.
