I will give my opinion about one of the Hindu celebrations, and this is the day that I like the

most in the Balinese calendar, namely Hari Raya Nyepi or Days of Silence. On that day
Balinese Hindus dedicate themselves completely to connecting more deeply with Hyang
Widi Wasa as their God through prayer, fasting and meditation.
On that day, 24 hours everyone must be at home, lights must be turned off, all traffic in Bali
must be stopped, all shops closed and in the last 4 years also no internet connection. It sounds
a little bit crazy, but I think Nyepi is the most magical and unique day because found
nowhere else in the world other than on this enchanting little island.
Everyone must follow the rules of Nyepi, even though non-Hindus. This is one of the most
tolerant I have known, tolerance between Hindus and other religions are very high. One of
them is for Muslims to carry out worship activities during Nyepi, either day or night but with
minimal lighting conditions and not using loudspeakers.
Then one of the best things about Nyepi is the activity that takes place in the evening before
Nyepi Day, the Balinese carry the big Ogoh Ogoh through the streets followed by Balinese
gamelan music. Ogoh-ogoh represents the evil sports that have to be driven away. Ogoh-ogoh
can be up to 25 feet tall and can be heavy.
Furthermore, another opinion about Nyepi Day, I think it also can reduce global warming,
this is because during Nyepi it can reduce carbon dioxide caused by (vihekel) vehicles and
can also save electricity.
