Coronavirus Outbreak

By: Charles Gonzalez, and Victor Avendano

What is the problem
The Problem with this new Virus is that it attacks the lungs
which could lead to death and that we don’t know much about
to this new virus which makes most scientist/doctors worried
about it
Origin

Scientists are racing to identify the source of the coronavirus

that is causing havoc around the world. Three weeks ago,
Chinese scientists suggested, on the basis of genetic
analyses, that the scaly, ant-eating pangolin was the prime
suspect.
What is the cause?
Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms,
fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In
more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe
acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death. It
has already killed Elders and young infants.
What communities are affected?
The 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), officially named as Covid-19 by the
WHO, has spread to 47 more countries apart from China alarming public health
authorities across the world. A total of 82,464 (including 78,599 in Mainland China,
Hong Kong, and Macau) confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection including
2,807 deaths (including 2,746 in China, 19 in Iran, 13 in Italy, 13 in South Korea,
three in Japan, two in France and one each in the Philippines and Taiwan) have
been reported across the world as of 27 February 2020.
How does it affect the communities?
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared the
Covid-19 outbreak as a global public health emergency. The US
also declared the outbreak as a public health emergency on 1
February, followed by many other countries, as coronavirus
numbers continue to rise.
How are people handling the problem
There is currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease 2019. The best way
to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. However, as a reminder,
CDC always recommends everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread
of respiratory diseases, including:

● Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

● Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
● Stay home when you are sick.
● Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
● Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular
household cleaning spray or wipe.
Solution
The only real Solution for us is to be more mindful of what we
do, clean your hands wear mask that are closed, and to not
congregate with the sickly.
