SONG TRANSLATION CONTEST - SOLO

Mechanics:
1. The contest is open to all bona fide students of Miputak National High School, for the
school year 2021-2022.
2. The participants must choose one (1) Tagalog/Visayan song and translate the lyrics of
the song using the English language.
3. The chosen song must not contain any malicious and obscene content.
4. Participants will then submit the original lyrics and the translated lyrics
written/encoded on a short bond paper and recorded music video of them singing the
song using the translated lyrics. Musical accompaniment is a requirement (karaoke or
instrument).
5. Minimum time of the music video is 2 minutes and the maximum time is 4 minutes.
6. All entries should begin with a 10-second title screen containing the following
information:
 the original title of the song and the song artist
 the translated title of the song and the participant’s name, grade, and
section
7. Entries must be submitted on or before February 18, 2021, 11:59 PM through the
email address provided (miputaknhsels@gmail.com).
8. It is important to note that by joining this contest, you hereby allow/authorize the
facilitators of this challenge to post your video entry on the school’s Facebook Page.

Criteria for Judging:

 Content (accuracy of the overall meaning of the song

after being translated) - - - - - 50%
