10. NOT PERMITTED: Analog/Smart/digital/programmable watches, wallets, mobile phones, bluetooth devices, microphones,
pagers, health bands or any other electronic gadgets, any printed/blank/handwritten paper, log tables, writing pads, scales,
geometry/pencil-boxes, pouches, calculators, pen drives, electronic pens, handbags, goggles or similar such items are NOT
allowed inside the examination centre. There may not be any facility for safekeeping of these devices outside the examination
hall; it will be prudent not to bring valuables to the examination center. We suggest that you bring a bag to keep routine
belongings outside the exam hall. Neither NPTEL nor the exam provider takes responsibility for the bag and the belongings.
You may keep at your own risk.
11. NOT PERMITTED: Please DO NOT bring any type of calculator for use in the exam. On-screen calculator will be available
during the exam. Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with this virtual Scientific calculator well ahead of the

12. A4 sheets will be provided to candidates for rough work. Candidates have to write their name and registration number on the

13. You should bring your own pen/pencil; it would not be given at the examination centre. Candidates MUST wear their own
facemask and maintain social distancing during the exam. Candidates are allowed to bring sanitizer in a small transparent
bottle. You are strongly advised to carry your own drinking water in a transparent bottle. Candidates without facemasks will
not be allowed into the exam hall.
14. MANDATORY - HALL TICKETS HAVE TO BE RETURNED TO THE INVIGILATOR BEFORE LEAVING THE EXAM HALL.
NO PAPER CAN BE TAKEN OUT OF THE EXAM HALL.

COVID 19 Instructions
17. All candidates within the setting are requested to bring their own face masks and are instructed to wear face masks at all times.
18. All candidates will have their temperature taken on arrival at the centre. If the temperature is detected at or above 37.3 degrees
candidates will not be given access to the exam centre.
19. All candidates will be expected to bring their own water bottles.
20. Candidates will not be permitted to carry any food items in the exam centre.
21. Candidates are requested to maintain a 2-metre distance while at the centre.
