TASK HAZARDS CONTROLS


Breaking down boxes  Make sure you have enough space to
safely break down the box
 Avoid holding the box in the air while
breaking it down; use a safe hard surface
for support.
 Don cut gloves if available
Lacerations
 Use a safety cutter, such as at
www.martor.com or www.olfa.com. These
cutters retract once contact is lost with the
box.
 Cut the box pointing away from the body.
 Properly dispose of in a recycling bin.
