Changing/replacing  Don cut resistant gloves and non-slip shoes prior to
blades performing any operation that requires working in
proximity to the band blade.
 Before installing ensure band blades are sanitized by
cleaning before install.
 Before installation inspect blade for chips, cracks or
breaks. Installing a blade with defects can result in the
blade snapping off and causing injury.
 Once verified blade is not damaged, wrap blade
around one pulley at a time so the blade passes
through the blade wiper and behind the lower blade

guard.
Amputation
 When tightening the band blade, only tighten the
tension knob until there is slight resistance on the
band blade. Do not over tighten as this can cause the
blade to snap and release, which can result in injury to
arms or body.
 Replace blade cover.
 Never reach into product holders (clusters), never
operate machine with both product holders in place. If
product holders are empty or cluster guards are not in
place, blade will be exposed and poses a severe risk
of severing or cutting unprotected fingers, whether
machine is in operation or not.
