MODAL VERBS

verbo principal, a diferencia de los verbos auxiliares “be”, “do”
El verbo modal can significa poder, saber.

Los verbos modales – modal verbs
- Los verbos modales o auxiliares (can, must, should, may, etc.) siempre van seguidos del
infinitivo de otro verbo sin TO: I can speak English, You should take my email address, etc.
base): He can swim, I must phone her, etc.
May I come in? Should we go now?, etc.
- La forma negativa se forma añadiéndoles NOT (n't): I can't hear you, You shouldn't smoke,
etc.
