Is Encanto Worth Your Time?

Yet another movie from Disney was made. Encanto, a family/musical film, was released
on November 24, 2021. It was directed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush. Music was by
Germaine Franco. Lastly, story was created by Jared Bush, Byron Howard, Charise Castro
Smith, Jason Hand, Nancy Kruse, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

With only weeks after it was released, Encanto gained the majorities attention. It was the
first ever movie wherein Disney made a muscular woman as one of the main characters.
Trending on different social media platforms, I’d say that it might be worth a shot to watch it, so
that’s what I did on my free time.

Here, I evaluated the movie from plot to characters and so forth. To begin with, the plot is
very interesting. There are a lot of twists and turns that could really surprise the watchers. It’s
like you’ve already guessed what’s about to happen, but then, there goes a twist that you
wouldn’t expect. Secondly, the acting are on point. It wasn’t hard to differentiate one character to
another since they were able to portray and convey a certain characteristic and attitude from the
beginning until the end of the movie. The character developments are also to be clapped on, and
the characters are also really good singers. Thirdly, the cinematography is amazing. How the
background and the surrounding changes depending on the mood was on point – making the
watchers feel what the movie wants them to feel. There were also a lot of comedy in the movie
which would actually make the watchers have a good laugh. Fourthly, the special effects and
editing both add up to the beauty of the movie – with really good details and smooth transitions.
Lastly, the script is fantastic. The script plus the characters’ acting, you can really feel all those
emotions especially if you’re a person who’s doing their best for the sake of those who are
around you. They also have a catchy and meaningful songs.
 Overall, if you’re into 3D and musical, I recommend you to watch this. There are also a
lot of life lessons in the movie that I wouldn’t want to spoil. Though, some characters lack some
screen time which, I would say, the downside of the movie, it’s still really fun to watch.
