Which government agency implements the Data Privacy Act?
The government agency who is in charge of implementing the Data Privacy Act is the
National Privacy Commission (NPC). Moreover, NPC is also headed by the Department of
Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
What is the goal of said agency?
The National Privacy Commission (NPC) aims to regulate and protect the personal
information of every individual and to ensure that the data protection process in the country is in
accordance with the international standards.

What is an electronic commerce?
Electronic Commerce refers to transactions which are done inside the internet such as
buying and selling of goods and services. It also includes money transfers, paying of bills and
other business arrangements.
What is the most prevalent example of electronic commerce?
One of the most prevalent example of electronic commerce is the Business to Consumer
model or B2C which facilitates online platforms that will allow buyers and sellers to meet using
third party applications such as Shopee, Lazada, Zalora, etc. These provides ease and
convenience to both buyers and sellers in buying and selling of goods and services.
