PART 1- ESSAY

Owing to the great variety of resorts, hotels and traditions available nowadays, we are now
able to visit well-known tourist trails and vacations. While some people believe that they can
discover everything about other countries without ever going there, others consider taking a
vacantion abroad is the best way to relax and take in the whole experience.
As far as I am concerned , people should escape the stress of everyday life and get some
much-needed downtime visiting other countries and enjoying the whole journey.

First and foremost, in order to get to know everything about a foreign country, people should
embrace discussing with inhabitants. Actually, traveling to a foreign country is one of the
life’s greatest privileges and usually, the locals are happy and content to communicate clearly
and carefully with the tourists. For example, locals know the ins and outs, the dos and do
nots, the where-to-gos and where-not-to-gos, they are the best tour guide you could wish for.
Thus, the most obvious way to meet and make new foreign friends while traveling is to
discuss with them because there is no better way of getting to know a place than talking to the
locals.

Furthermore, someone who goes on a cultural exchange travels can experience a new culture
and learn about amazing traditions. In other words, experiencing a new culture is like
stepping into a new world, people are being exposed to different languages, different smells,
sounds, traditions and of course they have to talk to the locals. For instance, when traveling
abroad, people can open their eyes to the beliefs and values of other people everyday life. So,
experiencing a new culture will kindly force the tourist to quickly learn and adopt the new
cultural beliefs and traditions.

In contrast, some people might believe they can discover everything about other countries
without ever going there and they say there is no point in foreign travel these days. The
internet is said to have tremendous significance and people’s interest in computers is
growing. Basically, people can experience different culture through reading books set in
foreign countries, they can find so many travel blogs, from story-focused ones to adventurous
trips.
Therefore, there are so many ways to do it without leaving your hometown to experience
cultural variety.

Taking everything into consideration, it seems to me that travelling abroad gives human
beings a better sense of who they are, people can be exposed to new adventures , ideas and
food. I strongly believe that vacations in foreign countries boost your creativity, not only in
an artistic way.

PART 2- Letter of application

Dear Mrs Gina Jones,

I am writing with reference to your advertisement for the position of a shop assistant at your
sport shop „The Vision”, which was placed in our local English-language newspaper
„ Times” on 8 November 2020. I believe I am the right person for the job due to my skills,
experience and my commitment.

To begin with, I am sure that I would be successful in this vacancy post as I have worked for
5 years in sport field (please find enclosed my letter of reference). Since 2015 I have been
employed by „George Bacovia” general school as a sport teacher’s aide. As a coach assistant
my responsibilities comprise dealing with supplies, children sport programme, buying
different sport items like equipments, balls, tennis rackets, sticks etc.

Moreover, my reasons for being interested in this vacancy is that according to what is said by
the coach I worked with , I am an out-going, hard-working , energetic person who is looking
for a solid career in sport retail and ideally within a sport retail environment as your shop
seems to be. I do know what people look for in a sport shop and I will offer my attention to
customers needs. I am also keen on planning because I have an excellent time management
skill and I am very good at implementing solutions.
Furthermore, the fact that I have recently completed a course in retail management would
also prove valuable to you. I am also able to express fluently in both written as well as oral
form of English language due to my American summer work experience. So I can use
English language fluently and precisely for social purpose.

To conclude, I am confident the qualities outlined above recommend me for this vacancy,
even in busy sport shop as yours. I would be available for an interview at any time and of
