* Managed Personal Computer, laptop, desktop and server purchases with minority
suppliers to meet year-end goal of $2 million in purchases. When one of two mino
rity suppliers went Chapter 11, worked with existing supplier and manufacturer t
o migrate allocations of 300 units monthly to new supply chain and meet current
internal customer requirements with out interruption of existing schedules.
Training Support Supervisor, Project Manager, Palatine, IL 1991 - 1998
Managed the operations of the training and development organization for North Am
erica. Responsible for facilities, staff selection, PC and technology purchases
at four locations. Designed, developed and implemented high tech training classr
ooms across country, utilizing PC based stations, video and distant learning tec
hnologies for access by staff and customers.
* Worked with joint venture group to develop and implement training for End User
software product Power Partners. Training program included full day PC based wo
rkshops at remote locations to electrical engineer's utilizing instructor led ma
terials, administration guides and student testing devices. Over 2000 attendee'
s in first year of program. Managed instructors and delivery of materials succes
sfully for all program activities.
* Work with cross functional team to redesign and implement company wide distant
learning program using interactive satellite broadcasts to 14,000 employees and
8,000 distributors across country. Reduced production cost by 50% and streamlin
ed training design for wider use of programs across organizations in company.
* Utilizing strategically focused skill, designed, developed and implemented the
installation of audio visual equipment for high tech based classrooms for the S
quare D Company. Included six regional training centers that supported an integr
ated computer platform for video conferencing, satellite training and PC worksta
tions at each location. Supported the delivery of thirty weeks training at each
location yearly.
* Designed, developed and implemented technical and end user training tools util
izing print, self-paced instruction, video workbooks, and computer based trainin
g and distant learning tools for training internal users and external customers.
