Pre-reading activities:

1 How do you imagine the protagonist Manolito? Make a drawing and a brief description of him:
how old he is, how is the house where he lives, his neighborhood, how you imagine him physically

daring / cowardly, funny / funny, intelligent, studious / lazy ...)

physical or personality trait that catches people's attention.
- Do you know anyone who has a nickname? How do they call them and why do they call them like
that?
- Do you have a nickname? What is it and why did they call you like that? If you don't have it, which
one would you like to be called for? Why?
