KEDIRI, MY HOMETOWN 

Kediri is located on east java. It's near Tulungagung and Nganjuk. Kediri is
divided into two part. There are Kediri city and Kediri's District.

Kediri is known as "Tahu" City. Kediri famous food are Banana Gethuk, Pecel
Tumpang, and many kind food made of Tahu such as Tahu Stick, Yellow Tahu, Tahu
Pong,etc. Banana Gethuk is Rajanangka Banana which is grinded and then steamed. It
use banana leaves for the case. Pecel tumpang is vegetables which is steamed and
uses Tumpang for its sauce. Tumpang sauce is made from Tempe that almost expired.
Some people confess that Kediri's outsider who try Tumpang for the first times won't like
this food, but most of Kediri's people love this food. But still, there aren't city that can
conquer Kediri's Tahu. In Middle of 2011 Kediri break the MURI Record for its Longest
Yellow Tahu that arranged by thousands of Yellow Tahu along the Dhoho street. And
the Yellow Tahu are divided to people for free.

Kediri city's people usually divided kediri city into two part, west side of brantas's
river and east side of brantas's river. There is a myth that west people who married east
people will be apart. Some people still believe this myth.

One of famous place in Kediri is Dhoho street. Dhoho Street is one of shopping
center in kediri. It's located on east side. There are many shop in dhoho street. Most of
them sell clothes and shoes. But there are also food, movie rental, electronic,
motorcycle dealer, and many more. Ussually the traffic in Dhoho street is very busy,
especially on Saturday's night. There is an annual even that is hold every year in dhoho
street. It is food festival. On this fest, only pedestrians who allowed to enter. There are
many kind of food are served here. But still it's not given for free. You still have to pay it.

There are 16 state high school in kediri, 8 senior high school, and 8 junior high
school. The Government give low fee for education in Kediri. Worksheet in state high
school in Kediri are distributed for free.

Kediri have a favorite soccer team named Persik. Persik's symbols is White
Tiger, and persik's color is purple. Persik's basecamp is located on Brawijaya Stadion.

Kediri is a fast developed city. Kediri always develop its town to be the best. It
increases its clean, economic, and many more fields. Lately some of department store
is opened, it is ramayana and matahari. Even Brawijaya University trusts Kediri to open
their branch there. Although UB Kediri's building isn't started yet, but UB Kediri already
have many student.
