Description of Work Activity: Civil work (form work, re-bar, casting concrete, Painting Bitumen,
backfilling, compaction)
Hazards Associated with Rescue Entry: Lack of Oxygen, Unsafe access, pinch point, Tripping / Slipping,
Asphyxiation due to lack of oxygen Intoxication due to the presence of toxic gases

Rescue Plan

An entrant’s evacuation from a Confined Space, shall take place when any of the following conditions
occur:
 An attendant observes a potential problem that can affect the entrants

 Activation of an alarm that signal a hazardous change in atmospheric conditions.

 Entrants believe they are in danger because they experience signs and symptoms of a hazard in
the space.

In the event that an entrant becomes unconscious:

- The attendant shall immediately stop the work and call all the conscious entrants to leave the
space,
- Contact the rescuers of which one shall be available near the location at all times during work.
- And unconscious worker will be either lifted out stretcher will be used and evacuated by
emergency stand by vehicle
- The attendant shall not enter the Confined Space for rescuing, he shall remain outside at the
entrance to the Confined Space.
- Attendant remain outside and contact the following:
 - Site Medic on the No. 07721166538
- KEBL Emergency number: 07719 181 857
- As the emergency vehicle will arrive to location with paramedic, the patient will receive
immediate treatment and further assessment will take place and medical evacuation if
needed.
