LEARNER CENTERED ACTIVITY: CREATIVE WRITING

EXPERIMENT: PARK VISIT

METHODOLOGY: COMMUNICATIVE LEARNING, DIRECT METHOD, SILENT

METHOD, TOTAL PHYSICAL RESPONSE.

CRITERIA: Teacher will take the students to the park and become the silent observer for
them. Teacher will categorize the students by judging their character traits, nature and senses.
Some students will become shy and watch the surroundings. Some will go and listen to the
sounds of birds. Some will touch the swings and play. Some will eat food and prefer roaming
around. Teacher will silently list down the students in mind.

PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION:

Teacher will show some videos to the students demonstrating different colors and activities in
the park and this process will also fulfill the learning method requirement through graphic
organizers.

LEARNING AUTONOMY (SCAFFOLDING):

Teacher will keenly elaborate every activity happening in it and make it interesting for the
students. She will make a cloud on the board writing park in it and ask the students to come one
by one and show what they observed. They will display it through drawing, visual illustration
and dance/actions.

PRESENTATION (LEARNING OUTCOME):

Some students will elaborate swings or birds through drawing or whatever they observed in the
video and in the park. They will be settled in group A of audio and visual learners. The ones who
watch the video keenly and then tell the teacher that what they saw are visual learners. Some of
them will dance and act like the kids were doing in the video and in the park. They are
kinesthetic learners. All of the clues children told with their brainstorming will be written on the
board with the cloud, Depicting the topic and the events and activities associated with that topic.
Then the students will be given blank pages and they will make sentences from the clues and
words they gave through mind mapping. In this way they will do creative writing through a
better and gradual learning process.
