In the first instance, the most important point in all history revolves around the existing difficulty

in defining the origin of American theater. Throughout the journey, the existence of a dispute
between historians and a man, Adam Hallam, and his sons. He had a fundamental role to start to
connect theater as company department in business. This complex event was based on the
seventeen decade.

There is no doubt that Hallam was a recognized person in the theater world, however the credits
can also be given to the British. According to the point of view of the professor the essence of the
theater was based on what was produced in this space than the area itself. From this moment
several controversial topics emerged because was clear that every aspect of that moment was
directed to the American culture.

In this perspective, the professor pointed out the controversial idea that regardless of the main
definition of the origins of the treater, there were some personalities mentioned in order to justify
their representation in the theatrical world. Shakespeare was an English individual, but he did not
represent the American culture as paramount. Nevertheless there are traces that Taylor was a
citizen that really demonstrated the real basis about American theater. This situation happened in
New York in 1787.
