Event 2: Chemfluence
Event Description:
This event is aimed towards bringing out the talent in NIT Andhra Pradesh - Chemical
Engineering students, who can demonstrate their classroom learning through innovative projects
and demonstrations. Viewers can learn about the concepts involved through these
demonstrations, in an interactive manner. We will also open this platform for interested students
from other colleges to demonstrate their projects if they are interested, and e-certificates will be
given out. Some of the projects involved are given below.

1. Heron’s fountain:
a. Description: Three bottles are connected in such a manner that on giving a limited
water input, the fountain of water would be continuous and last for a long period
of time without any more additional water supply.

2. Model of wastewater treatment plant:

a. Description: A wastewater treatment plant model can be prepared with basic
cardboard and other materials.

3. Oscillatory color-changing chemicals:

a. Event Description: Three colorless solutions are mixed together and the color of
the resulting mixture will oscillate between clear, amber, and deep blue and end
up in a blue-black mixture.
