You walk the path of the pious explorer. Your journey is both a
discovery and a mission to spread the deeds and words of
your faith, your philosophy, or your ruler. Though your
journey is difficult, your devotion to your cause will see you
though. Glory and fame are for the unfaithful. True worth is
found in honest work, rigorous discipline, and firm
conviction.
Skill Proficiencies: Religion, Survival
Tool Proficiencies: One set of artisan’s tools or one
musical instrument (your choice)
Languages: Common plus the language of your home, if
different.
Equipment: A holy symbol, a set of common clothes, a
staff or walking stick, a blank book, a quill pen and ink,
and a purse containing 5 gp

from the list below and work with your DM to come up with a
story that fits into the campaign.

Feature: World Traveler
In your travels, you have picked up the ways of the road. You
can always find food and shelter from any civilized
settlement. You can always find temporary work to help you
re-supply for the next leg of the journey. You are familiar with
the major roads of the country, as well as other less friendly
avenues. If you are pious, temples will extend their hospitality
to you.
Suggested Characteristics
Pilgrims are motivated by their faith, but not necessarily
defined by it. It takes a certain kind of person to leave familiar
surroundings and venture out into new places. Pilgrims don’t
shirk adventure; rather, they seek it out as a test of their
convictions. Some may wish to spread the word of their
chosen deity, while others are content to walk their own
private path. Some pilgrims have an end destination in mind.
Others are consumed with wanderlust and can’t stay in one
place.
