RESEARCH INSTRUMENT/DATA COLLECTION TECHNIQUE

The researchers will use a Survey Questionnaire as their technique in collecting the data needed
for this study. This Survey questionnaire (see Appendix __) will elicit relevant information concerning
the BSSW’s students coping mechanism and how the cancellation of Face-to-face Field Instruction
affected them.

The instrument is divided into two sections; the first section will draw the background
information of the respondent including the name, age, gender, year level and section while the second
part will consist of a 5-item questionnaire that will be answered freely by the respondents tin which it
will elicit answers on how the cancellation of face-to-face Field Instruction has affected them and what
are their coping strategies in keeping up with the online set-up of Field Instruction.

The first question is to know if the shift from face-to-face Field instruction to online set-up
affected the 3rd year BSSW students in some ways. Second question is to seek information from the
respondents if the cancellation of face-to-face Field Instruction affected their confidence in their future
career. The third question intends to know if the cancellation of face-to-face Field Instruction affected
their practical experiences as a Social Work student. While the fourth question is to identify if the
cancellation of face-to-face Field Instruction has an effect in their academic participation as a Social
Work student. The last question intends to know if the new set-up has affected their mental health and
what are their strategies in coping up with the situation.
