The name ZASTAVA ORUŽJE on the weapon that you now own stands for quality, reliability, and gunsmith tradition since 1853. This
weapon was made in accordance with very strict requirements, of the highest quality materials used for this type of products and tested
by our Quality Control.

To be able to handle this weapon safely, you are obliged to read carefully and completely the Handling and maintenance manual (here-
inafter: the Manual).
For all the information related to the weapon, please apply to your dealer or manufacturer for detailed explanations within shortest
time.

If your gun needs servicing, apply to one of the service shops authorized by your dealer. You do not need to send the gun to the manu-
facturer, because these services can be done by any authorized service shop, probably in a shorter period.

3.1. - DESCRIPTION OF THE WEAPON

Safety 3.2.-HANDLING
Putting safety on in a safe manner (fig. 2) is done by the safety (4) 3.2.1. Assembly

Position safety off (I) is realized by pulling the safety fully front, in
direction of the red indicator. When the safety is off, the bolt can
be unlocked and the rifle can fire.
Safe position is realized by putting the safety between the indi-
cator for on and off positions. The bolt can be unlocked and the
rifle must not fire.

4. Aim, place your finger on the trigger and slowly pull it back-
wards until the weapon fires.
5. Eject the empty cartridge case from the chamber by rotat-
ing the bolt upward by 90° and pulling it fully rearwards.
6. When the bolt is pushed into the front position and rotated
downwards by 90°, next cartridge will come out of the magazine

3.2.5. Disassembly
The weapon is disassembled before and after it is used, for the
purposes of inspection, cleaning and lubrication.
If possible, the weapon is disassembled indoors, on a clean and

5.2. – ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT

Optical sight
Optical sight with mounts is easily assembled to or disassembled
from Picatinny rail STD-MIL 1913 that is placed on the upper side
of the receiver.
The manufacturer of the weapon does not recommend disas-
sembly of the optical sight from the weapon if the optical sight
was rectified.

Bipod
Bipod is easily assembled to the bipod carrier (with the diameter
of 11mm) that is placed on the front side of the stock.
