TO DIE AND GO TO HEAVEN, OR TO RECEIVE THE REDEMPTION OF OUR BODIES

On the whole “dying to go to heaven” thing (which you find nowhere in the Bible as the goal of our faith
in Christ), remember:

- The Spirit and the Bride (who are here on earth) say to Jesus, “Come”, and we who hear are to
say “Come” (not “go” or “let’s go to heaven”) – Revelation 22:17;
- Jesus taught us to pray “your kingdom come…on earth…”, not “your kingdom go…” (to heaven)
– Matthew 6:10
- We are awaiting the redemption of our body (putting on incorruptibility, immortality), not the
taking off of our bodies – Romans 8:23;
- When Christ our life shall appear (on earth), then shall you also appear with Him in glory –
Colossians 3:4
- Jesus is coming to judge the living and the dead, and the saints will judge the world with Him (1
Cor 6:2)
- Phil 3:20-21
