Statement of Purpose

1. Why do you wish to pursue PhD?

Since my childhood I was fond of numbers and playing games centred around them. I used to enjoy solving mathematical
calculations. Mathematics always satisfied my curiosity and I find pleasure in the solutions. I always scored well at mathematics
and today I am a post graduate degree holder from National Institute Of Technology, Silchar. I chose this subject as my main
area of interest and expertise because the more I read and research, the more I find what I am still not aware about and I want
to delve deep to further enhance my knowledge. I have teaching abilities , research abilities dedication to strive for excellence
and passion to learn and make others learn this subject too.P.H.D is ingrained within me and I want to be an asset for this
nation through my proficiency which would be acquired here.

2. What is your motivation for applying to IIT Gandhinagar?

I have strived hard to be what I am today. I always knew that this institution is my calling and today after qualifying the
entrance examination I am in a better position to claim my candidature. As Maths is a dynamic , innovative and evolutionary
subject I can find no other place better than this esteemed Institution because the very purpose of it is to promote innovation,
empower the passion, and encourage the deserving young minds. IIT Gandhinagar is devoted to research and development
which is my motivation to pursue Phd.The values , vision and mission of this institution is similar to mine and that is why I want
to be a part of this reputed institution and serve my nation.

3. What are your long term career objectives?

I want to join academia and shape the next generation of brilliant minds. In many emerging areas of sciences mathematics is of
key importance, I want to put mathematics to practical application in new areas of sciences. I have profound interest in
pioneering education, through my mastery and I want to facilitate new developments. I want to have an expertise in research
and development and further promote that too. A researcher and a professor are my primary objectives in terms of the nation
service.

4. What is the area of your research interest and why?

Though, Mathematics is as vast as an ocean but I have keen interest in Fluid Mechanics,Numerical Method , Complex Analysis
and PDE.........Its challenging and emerging area so I want to contribute to it through my research.

Present paper Of Numerical Method in NIT SILCHAR in which I Solved Laplace and Poisson Equation Of fourth Order By using Fourth
Order Compact Scheme .
