In this study session, I have gain the knowledge of legislature as one of the three organs of government
and the most important arms or organs of government in a given society.

Furthermore legislature is the body that make/ enact laws in that the executive implement and the
judiciary interpret for the system of democratic system of the of government of a given society or state to
be well organized or operate. The legislature also perform the judiciary functions. For example, when the
legislature carried out an impeachment process against the executive, so it is a judicial function of
legislature.

In this same session that characteristics of legislation is clearly make significant emphasis on.

In which the quintessence democratic government enforce the people will it by the legislature. The
legislature controls the expenditure and equally approve the annual budget of a country. All other
activities of the other arms of government are supervise / controlled by the legislature through the
legislative process.

In other area managing assembling is a cardinal responsibility of the legislature. The fountainhead of the
executive power are made by the legislature, the country's constitution and the state.

Legislature consist of two major categories that are: unicameral legislature is the legislature that has one
legislative chamber where members are directly elected by the electorate e.g. Israel, Poland New Zealand
etc and Bicameral legislature is the legislature that consist of two legislative chambers they are called
names at different times in countries all over the world. In bicameral legislature has upper houses and the
lower house.

Unicameral legislature is not expensive to run.

Unicameral legislature often denies the country of the services of its statement to partake in the
lawmaking process of their country.

Bicameral legislature provided check and balance on the legislative process.

It is expensive to run for the two houses are paid salaries and allowances.
