Articles (a / an / the)

The articles are words used to precede the nouns when forming a sentence or writing and
speaking.

a: is used before singular nouns starting with consonant sounds. (ex: a table, a chair, a
student…)

an: is used before singular nouns starting with a vowel sound. (ex: an apple, an eraser, an
orange…)

the: is used before both singular and plural nouns but talking about a specific subject (ex: the
apple, the kids, the family, the table…)
