Means of Transport

Means of travel or means of transport refer to the different kinds of transport

facilities that are often used to transport people or cargo. (Mijloacele de călătorie
sau mijloacele de transport se referă la diferitele tipuri de facilități de transport care
sunt adesea utilizate pentru transportul de persoane sau mărfuri.)

When we talk about the way we travel, we use by + means of transport. (Când vorbim
despre modul în care călătorim, folosim “by” + mijloace de transport.)
When we refer to walking, we use on foot, not by foot.
I go to school by bus.
We went to the island by boat.
The boys went to the park on foot.

TYPES OF TRANSPORT: (Tipuri de mijloace de transport)

1. By air (pe calea aerului): plane (avion), helicopter, rocket (racheta), hot air
balloon ( balon cu aer cald), UFO (OZN), parachute (parasuta)

2. By land (pe uscat) : bike (bicicleta), motorbike (motocicleta), car (masina),

bus (autobuz), truck (camion), van (furgoneta), tractor, ambulance, taxi,
police car etc.

3. By sea (pe apa): boat(barca), ship (nava /vas), canoe, submarine, etc

4. By rail (pe sine): tram (tramvai), train (tren), subway (metrou).
