Kyocera USB card reader connection

Kyocera offers different types of USB readers covering nearly all ID technologies to be used with the Kyocera MyQ
Embedded Terminal on Kyocera devices.

3.1. Kyocera Standard USB Readers

Kyocera MYQ can cooperate with all Kyocera USB Card Readers when the Card Authentication Kit (B) function has
been enabled. Card Authentication Kit (B) can be run in demo mode with functionality limited to max. 30 days;
the max. 30 days demo can be executed up to 3 times on each device. For full unlimited version of CAK(B) ask
your Kyocera supplier.
If this CAK(B) optional function is enabled and any of supported readers is connected to the USB slot, MyQ can
read the data acquired by reader and use them for user identification.
MyQ automatically detects the functional CAK(B) reader, and if the login method is PIN, MyQ automatically
changes it to PIN / ID Card (USB) login type.
If the CAK(B) is enabled, but no compatible reader is connected to the USB slot, permanent error message is
displayed on the panel:
