1. Write the grammar rules for comparatives.

Si tienen dos sílabas: adjetivo + ER + Than o añadiendo “more” delante del adjetivo.

Eating fruit is healthier than / more healthy than chocolate.


Comer fruta es más sano que comer dulces.
Si tiene tres sílabas o más, directamente se añade “more” delante del adjetivo.

This film is more entertaining than the other one.


Esta película es más entretenida que la otra.
Si acaban en consonante + vocal + consonante, se dobla la última consonante y se añade “-st”:

Your brother is skinnier than last year.


Tu hermano está más delgado que el año pasado.
Si acaban en “-y”, se cambia la “-y” por una “-i”:

You look happier than before the wedding.


Pareces más feliz que antes de la boda.
Comparativos de igualdad
Se usan para comparar dos elementos que están en el mismo nivel. Por ejemplo, “as…as”
equivale en español a “tan…como”.
