This precourse self-assessment has 3 sections covering these major testing areas:
The Rhythm Identification section tested your ability to identify the basic core
rhythms used in the ACLS Provider Course and written exam. You scored 90% on
Rhythm Identification.
The Pharmacology section tested your ability to identify drugs used in clinical
situations. You scored 95% on Pharmacology.
The Practical Application section tested your ability to identify a rhythm and then
choose the correct action or drug, as you will be expected to do in the learning
stations and the Megacode Testing Station. You scored 70% on Practical
Application.
The diagnosis questions tested your knowledge of material found in ACLS core
cases. If you scored low on a diagnosis question, review the case, including the
drugs and the series and sequence of interventions used in the case.

The algorithm questions tested your knowledge of material found in ACLS core
algorithms. If you scored low on an algorithm question, review the algorithm,
including the drugs and the sequence of interventions in the algorithm.
The drug questions tested pharmacology material found in ACLS core cases. If
you scored low on specific drug knowledge, make sure you know how and when
the drug is used as well as what dose to use in specific situations, such as
atropine for PEA vs ACS, or dopamine and epinephrine for bradycardia.
