Day's Activities:
Begin the session with Morning prayer followed by the Rhyme/Story telling sessions and then move on to the
learning sessions of the day.
Learning session1
Introduction of Alphabet ‘A’: Say and write “A“/pg 14 Candy
Your child would be able to recognise letter ‘Aa ‘ (previous knowledge) as well as be
familiar with the phonic sounds of Aa (Aa sounds ../a/ as in Apple, arrow, alligator & ant).
*Letter Formation ‘A’
Salt Tracing: Pour some salt on a tray/ plate. Using your index finger, trace the letter A..
Left slanting line / Right slanting line / Sleeping line joining the two.
Let your child do the salt tracing of the letter A formation a number of times on his own.
Writing Letter A in 4 line worksheet:/pg 14 Candy
Let the child hold a pencil (In a pincer grasp not pressing too hard but with a firm grip).
Parent to hold the child’s hand and teach the letter A formation
Help the child in tracing and writing the letters in the first row. Encourage the child to complete the rows on
his own.
Initially, the pace of writing may be slow ...but will gradually improve with practice
Let the child complete the worksheet .

Theme: Me and My World My Family
Parent to have a casual talk with the child about the people who live in their houseParents, brither/sister
Show the family photograph to your child and ask them to identify the members and say who they are?
Explain them that people living together at a home is called a family. Talk to the child about the fun time they
spend together as a family like going out to a park/family outing/watching movie etc.
Tell them that a family with father, mother, brother and sister living together is acall a small family.
Now tell them that a family with parents, brother,sister, grandparents, uncle, aunt and cousins living together
is a joint family.
Family Craft
Materials: White paper , coloured paper, scissors ,glue family photo
Cut out a paper square for a house, triangle for a roof from coloured paper.
Glue the pieces together on the white paper to make a house.
Glue the family photo on your house.

Learning session3
Pattern writing: Half curves – Trace the dotted “Half curves” to practice along with the bear/pg 16 PWB
Parent to draw two curves(Left and right curves ) on the slate/salt and tell the child that they are half curves.
Write letters which have these curves like C,D,O,P,Q. Show the correction direction to write these curves.
Let the child come practice tracing the curve patterns on slate/sand/salt tray.
Once done, ask the child trace the dotted half curves on pg 16 Pattern writing book
Ensure that the child follow the correct direction.
Let them colour the picture with crayons.
Skill: Pre writing.

Whenever your child is receptive and willing to write in the later part of the day, you could encourage him /
her to practice writing letter “A” in English Note book
