temporary leach fields at three locations adjacent to the existing tank locations.

On March 22,
2022, your engineer provided the park with a design for the temporary leach fields. Each leach
field consists of 3 infiltrator trenches measuring 3 feet wide and 80 feet in length excavated to a
depth of 30 inches with 6 feet of spacing between trenches. Each leach field is connected to the
existing septic tanks that were installed as part of Stage 1 of this project. An intercept trench will
also be installed between the proposed leach fields and the existing tank locations to convey
surface water away from the leach fields. These fields would each be fenced from cattle access.
The NPS has completed compliance review on these temporary fields and by this letter
authorizes you to proceed with final permitting with the County and installation of these systems.
