Rationale:

In line with the implementation of Republic Act No. 10533, or the Enhanced Basic Education
Act of 2013, the Department of Education (DepEd) issues the enclosed policy on The Learning Action
Cell (LAC) as a K to 12 Basic Education Program School-Based Continuing Professional Development
Strategy for the Improvement of Teaching and Learning.

In consonance thereto, continuous professional development for teachers on teaching and other
teaching-related issues and concerns as main implementers of the said programs will help attain the
noble endeavor of the program.

When this activity is done, beneficiaries will be able to:

*Increase knowledge and developed deeper understanding on teaching strategies on the new normal
and other teaching-related issues and concerns.
