Solar- Powered Autonomous Perimeter Security System

Abstract

The majority of burglaries are carried out by conscientious criminals who plot their
crimes during the times when they are least likely to be discovered. Designers will be motivated
to create systems that act approximately rationally and rational systems exhibit universal drives
towards self-protection , resource acquisition, replication and efficiency (S Omohundro, 2014). For
the safety of everyone, the researchers made a system that protects everyone from the burglars called,
the Solar Powered Autonomous Perimeter Security System. This system is a type of protection system
that is automatic and solar powered, which means that it is less on having electrical billing due to the
solar powered energy that catches only the sun’s heat that can make the product work. This automatic
system can easily detect a burglar and automatically alert the owner if someone is trying to break into
someone’s property. This system is very beneficial at any time of the day or night, knowing that most of
the burglar’s target are usually nighttime or specifically when the owner is not present. So with the help
of this security system, the burglars' actions will be alerted, making the intruders fear.

Introduction

Autonomous security systems will soon be integrating into our lives as home assistants (F
Jahan, 2019). Solar- Powered Autonomous Perimeter Security System will help guard the homeowner’s
resources and most especially their safeness. This kind of technology allows everyone to travel
without worrying about what could happen in their own properties. Solar power provides the
option of a reliable security system without the hassle and added expense of running cables. As
the danger of assault from enemies decreased, the prerequisite for huge and complex border
security was supplanted with more unassuming dividers and wall and needed the perimeter
security system. The distance that detects the intruder can protect wider area which further alert
the people inside the house. It features CCTV, auto call, and alarm systems that can easily be applied
to secure the things that are needed to be protected. While advising a gatecrasher is significant,
associating everyone to crisis administrations is essential in giving the most complete assurance to their
home. There is always a sensitive information that needs to be protected and kept out of the wrong
hands at all times. This approach having a powerful of skilled people in their subject to supervise the
safety structures and to preserve them running smoothly. Many human beings overlook, ignore, and
underestimate the want of taking suitable domestic protection measures. A housebreaking or robbery
can cause devastating consequences, each emotionally and financially. According to the Philippine
National Police (PNP) data, the task force said a total of 7,646 theft, robbery and burglary crime were
recorded from March to October last year. Every day, there will always be a reported crime happening
in every corner of this planet. A burglary, in particular, is a crime that can be avoided and prevented
with the help of the security system that the researchers have made. The purpose of this study is to
protect and secure properties and most importantly, everyone and everything in it from embezzlement.

Methodology

In terms of Edge Computing, using IoT-based solutions for smart home security is a challenge. To
prevent failures and mistakes, the “Outpost” smart protection system must be able to make a reaction
decision. Using IoT sensors, the system should be able to detect a possible intruder. When all of the
sensors' states meet the trigger criteria, it should decide whether to respond to an intruder or send the
data to the smart home's main controller. Solar energy is now being used to fuel street lights in an
increasing number of countries. At the moment, there is a rise in energy demand, as well as an increase
in power prices and a decrease in conventional resource reserves. Renewable energy technologies are
becoming increasingly important in this regard. Solar energy is one of the most rapidly growing forms of
renewable energy.

Results and Discussions

This invention has many advantages that will definitely help everyone from embezzlement. The
devices in this system will notify the owner when intruders attack their properties while they are away
and that could mean lesser risk of being targeted by intruders and burglars. When infiltrators discover
which has applied an automatic security system, they're persuaded to transport far from the property.
To easily apprehend and detect burglars to the house with the help of this invention, everyone would be
protected and secured from any embezzlement. Solar powered have many benefits, including being an
inexhaustible renewable energy source that emits no pollution into the atmosphere, the ability to
mount them almost anywhere, and the ability to deliver energy to places that are not connected to the
electrical grid. That is why, in this project, the inventors plan to use solar-powered autonomous security
system that stands as the IoT "Outpost" for smart house perimeter security.
